When my family first moved to Lee's Summit, on one of our grocery runs, we noticed El Sazon Mexican Grill just across the parking lot and decided to give it a try. It didn't take long for it to become one of our regular spots, and now we find ourselves eating there about once a month. From the moment you walk in, the friendly and attentive staff make you feel welcome, creating a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for lunch, dinner, or meeting up with friends.
If you're visiting El Sazon for the first time, my recommendation is the Taco Salad. It has everything you'd expect; seasoned meat, crisp lettuce, fresh tomatoes, shredded cheese, creamy queso, and a dollop of sour cream. It's the way those simple ingredients come together that makes this dish stand out. Every bite has the perfect balance of warm and cool, creamy and crunchy. It's one of those meals that's comforting without feeling heavy, and somehow tastes just as good every single time I order it.
I'm also a big fan of the Steak Quesadilla Fajita . The steak is tender and flavorful, the vegetables are cooked just right, and the melted cheese holds everything together like the perfect finishing touch. It's the kind of meal that disappears before you realize you've almost finished it.
Of course, no Mexican restaurant experience is complete without chips and salsa. El Sazon's chips arrive warm, light, and crisp, making them hard to stop eating. Paired with their fresh salsa, it's the perfect way to kick off your meal while you wait for your entrée.
While El Sazon has a comfortable outdoor patio that's perfect for enjoying a meal on a nice day, my family usually takes our food to-go. After a long day of work, errands, and everything else life throws at us, there's something comforting about picking up dinner and heading home. Instead of spending time grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning the kitchen, we can simply relax and enjoy a meal together.
