A Realtor's Favorite Way to Start a Saturday

Before I head out to host an open house on Saturday morning, there's a good chance you'll find me stopping by First Watch in Independence.

As a Realtor, weekends are often my busiest time. While many people are sleeping in or making plans for the day I'm preparing an for open house, putting out signs or getting ready to meet buyers. But before the busy part of my day begins, I like to start with something familiar.

For my family, First Watch has become a Saturday morning routine.

One of the things I appreciate most about the Independence location is that they've managed to create a small-town atmosphere despite being a large, successful company. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted by friendly faces who genuinely seem happy to see you. In today's world, that kind of customer service stands out.

In fact, they know my order so well that they often say it before I can.

There's something special about walking into a restaurant and feeling like a regular. It's not just about remembering an order; it's about building relationships and making people feel valued. That's something I can relate to as a Realtor because I believe the best businesses are built on trust, consistency, and treating people the way you'd want to be treated.

Most Saturdays, I'm ordering to go because the day ahead is usually packed with appointments, showings, and open houses. But even when I'm in a hurry, the experience never feels rushed. The team consistently provides excellent service while making every customer feel welcome. My go-to order is the Barbacoa Breakfast Tacos. If you've never tried them, you're missing out. I also highly recommend the Million Dollar Bacon. It has earned its reputation for a reason. And if you're looking for something refreshing to drink, the Morning Meditation is always a great choice. The ability to add vitamins makes it an easy way to start the day feeling energized and ready to go.

Another reason I enjoy supporting First Watch is their commitment to giving back. They understand that being successful isn't just about serving great food; it's also about investing in the communities they serve. That's a value I respect and one that aligns closely with my own approach to business. Whether I'm helping a family buy their first home or assisting someone with the sale of a property they've loved for years, customer service always comes first. Listening, caring, and creating a positive experience matters. It's one of the reasons I appreciate what the team at First Watch does so well.

So if you're in Independence and looking for a great breakfast, I highly recommend stopping by First Watch. If you stop in on a Saturday morning, you may even hear the staff reciting my order before I get the chance.
